Kabul
Kabul is one of the largest cities in Middle East also the capital centre of Afghanistan; the city is more than 3000 yrs in age and has been a major hub for farm products such as nuts, dried and fresh fruits, leather, Angora rugs and precious furniture. As a real estate investor interested in the region, you can purchase large tracks of land surrounding the city and use them to raise livestock for commercial purposes. Moreover, one can purchase land and raise tree seedlings that can be sold as timber at a higher price when they mature. However, the investor will have to wait for at least ten years for trees to mature. You also have to know which kind of tree can survive in the region. Those which require a lot of water will not do well in this dry region.
Economic prospectus
To add on, Kabul is also a major destination for venture capitalists looking for cheap land in the Middle East region with high prospectus of harbouring oil. With the oil rush going on, real estate investors are competing to purchase vast lands in the outskirts and then sell to entrepreneurs searching for oil in the region. A property investor can benefit more when oil is struck by renting land to the venture capitalists for period of time in which they’ll be interested in the parcel. Many initial investors are selling their pieces to new landlords as they fear war may emerge at any time and cause havoc. While this risk is substantiated the current government is stable and there are no recent reports of unrest in Kabul.
Transport and communication
Kabul’s main airport is about 16 miles from the city centre. It serves as the point of entry for visitors from surrounding countries like Iran, India and Pakistan. Major flights like Ariana Afghan, Pamir and Kam Air also have their headquarters in this great city. As a result, hundred thousands of tourists come to the city each year to tour the ancient monumental sites or escape from bitter winter in Europe. Property investors are benefiting from renting stalls around these airports and then selling curios and other artefacts to visitors at considerable prices. Most tourists save a lot of money before travelling to spend on worthwhile products in the foreign country; since airport stalls are their first contact with what the country has to offer tourists usually spend more here.
